Audition Dates: September 22 & 24, 2024

Adapted by Joe Landry. It’s a Wonderful Life is based on the story, The Greatest Gift by Philip Van Doren Stern.

THE STORY: This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9 pm as well as Sundays from 2-5 pm beginning on October 8.

Tech rehearsals will be held from Sunday, December 1 – Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Performance dates include:
December 5, 2024 @ 7:30 PM
December 7, 2024 @ 2:00 PM & 7:30 PM
December 8, 2024 @ 2:00 PM

Attendance is required for all tech week dates and performance dates set forth.

Please be advised in order to enter the Theatre during auditions all individuals over 18 must provide a license or ID. Individuals under 18 must provide a license, school ID or parent's license. For all individuals entering the building bags will be checked by security.

Auditions will be held at the Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre, located at 28 Monument Square in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on Sunday, September 22 at 1:00 pm and Tuesday, September 24, 2024 beginning at 6:00 pm. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, September 25 at 6:00 pm, if needed. Please register to audition no later than Saturday, September 21. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email.

Please bring an actor resume and headshot to be submitted to the production crew. All those auditioning should prepare a monologue under one minute in length. Dramatic or comedic in genre is at the actor’s discretion. All actors are encouraged to audition.
