Over 400 years past his death, Shakespeare remains in rep at theatres around the globe. The evolution of language has made understanding and connecting to his words a barrier to some but his work still rings true. In this workshop, students will breathe new life into Shakespeare’s language in a contemporary context, allowing students to connect to it emotionally and intellectually. Taught by seasoned theatre artist David Raposo, our director for this season’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this is a perfect opportunity to examine and prepare a monologue for auditions later this October.
