Associate Audio & Production Engineer: Full-Time Position
Reports to: Project & Technical Director
Position Summary: The Associate Audio & Production Engineer works closely with and under the guidance of the Project & Technical Director. This role supports all audio and production needs for theatrical productions, concerts, education events, and rentals. Responsibilities include assisting with load-ins and load-outs, operating sound systems, and serving in technical capacities as assigned. As the Associate Engineer develops skills over time, they will increasingly take ownership of select production tasks and may lead certain projects independently.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Project & Technical Director and tech department to meet all audio and technical requirements.
- Assist with the setup, design, and operation of sound for theatrical productions; act as Technical Director during performances as assigned.
- Assist with sound setup, design, and operation for education events and dance recitals; serve in a technical leadership role when assigned.
- Support sound setup, design, and operation for concerts.
- Assist the Technical Director and tech department with technical requirements for concerts, including stage setup, equipment preparation, and troubleshooting.
- Perform load-in and load-out duties for concerts and theatrical productions.
- Maintain software updates on FOH equipment including the dLive S7000 console and Shure QLXD wireless systems.
- Demonstrate understanding of audio, signal flow, and mic’ing techniques for a range of musical and theatrical applications.
- As skills and experience grow, take on select productions or technical projects independently, with ongoing support and mentorship from the Technical leadership team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Training & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sound engineering preferred.
- Proficiency in QLab, Mac OS, and basic software environments required.
- Knowledge of video systems is a plus.
- Experience operating an Ion XE lighting board is a plus.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable team player with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for the performing arts.
Experience:
- Sound Engineering: 5 years (preferred)
- QLab & Mac: 2 years (preferred)
Education: Associates degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience considered.
Schedule: Flexibility Needed

- Weekend availability
Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Conservatory Programs:
Now Hiring: Spring 2026 Conservatory Teaching Artists
The Stadium Theatre Conservatory is seeking passionate and dynamic Teaching Artists to lead youth theatre and dance programs this spring season! These positions offer the opportunity to inspire young performers while helping them build confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills in preparation for fully staged performances.
We are currently hiring for the following Teaching Artist roles:
Creative Movement (Ages 4-6) – Instructor
Culmination Musical: Willy Wonka Kids (Ages 9–13) – Director/Music Director/Choreographer
Creative Movement – DANCE INSTRUCTOR (Ages 4-6)
Creative Movement Dance is a playful and engaging class designed especially for young dancers. Through music, storytelling, and guided movement, students explore basic dance concepts such as balance, rhythm, space, and coordination in a fun and supportive environment. The class encourages imagination, confidence, self-expression, and gross motor skill development. No prior dance experience is required.
Schedule:
10 classes, Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Saturday, April 4 – Saturday June 20
There will be no class on Saturday April 25th & May 23rd
Ideal Candidate:
· Experience teaching young children (dance, movement, early childhood education, or performing arts preferred)
· Warm, patient, and energetic teaching style
· Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and joyful learning environment
· Comfortable leading a simple end-of-session presentation
Culmination: Willy Wonka Kids – DIRECTOR/CHOREOGRAPHER/MUSIC DIRECTOR (Ages 7–13)
A week-long theatre intensive where young performers rehearse and perform a full production in one exciting week!
Schedule:
Weekly Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 5:00–8:00 PM
Program Length: 10 weeks, April 7 – June 16
There will be no class on Tuesday, April 21
Extended Rehearsals:
· Tuesday, May 26 & Tuesday, June 2, 4:00–9:00 PM
· Includes dinner break from 6:00–7:00 PM, followed by rehearsal from 7:00–9:00 PM
Technical Rehearsal:
· Monday, June 8, 5:00–8:00 PM
Finale Performance:
· Tuesday, June 9, 5:00–10:00 PM
· Curtain at 7:00PM
Position Responsibilities:
Director
· Lead overall artistic vision and storytelling
· Guide young performers in character development and stage presence
· Collaborate closely with the choreographer and music director
· Maintain a positive, structured, and age-appropriate rehearsal environment
Choreographer
· Create age-appropriate, engaging choreography
· Teach movement that supports storytelling and ensemble work
· Collaborate on staging and transitions
· Ensure choreography is safe, inclusive, and accessible for young performers
Music Director
· Teach vocal parts and harmonies
· Lead group singing and vocal rehearsals
· Support performers in vocal technique, pitch, rhythm, and musicality
· Coordinate with director on musical storytelling
Ideal Candidates:
· Experience working with children in musical theatre settings
· Strong communication and classroom management skills
· Collaborative, organized, and dependable
· Passion for arts education and youth performance
· Available for all scheduled rehearsals and performances

Vacation Programs:
Spring Stage (Vacation Session) – DIRECTOR (Ages 6-8):
Description:
Spring Stage is a week-long theatre intensive designed to get kids out of the house and onto the stage during school vacation week. Students will step into the spotlight singing songs and performing choreographed scenes while building confidence, teamwork, and foundational musical theatre skills. Under the guidance of a skilled director, performers will explore vocal pitch, timing, rhythm, and stage presence in a fun, supportive environment.
Schedule: Monday, April 20 – Friday, April 24 from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Finale Performance on Thursday, April 23rd at 3:00PM
Program Title: How Does Your Garden Groove? (Ages 6–8)
Freddy and Franny Farmer’s garden vegetables are movin’ and groovin’ in this charming and imaginative mini-musical for primary-age students. This is no ordinary garden-variety show—french fried potatoes have “appeal,” leafy greens sing “Lettuce Entertain You,” and corn and peas plead “Please Don’t Put Us in a Can-Can!” These lively veggies sing and dance their way straight into everyone’s hearts.
Ideal Candidate:
· Experience directing and/or teaching musical theatre for children
· Strong rehearsal leadership and classroom management skills
· Ability to work with mixed age groups and varying experience levels
· Collaborative, organized, and enthusiastic teaching style
· Comfortable staging a polished end-of-week presentation
