Associate Audio & Production Engineer: Full-Time Position
Reports to: Project & Technical Director
Position Summary: The Associate Audio & Production Engineer works closely with and under the guidance of the Project & Technical Director. This role supports all audio and production needs for theatrical productions, concerts, education events, and rentals. Responsibilities include assisting with load-ins and load-outs, operating sound systems, and serving in technical capacities as assigned. As the Associate Engineer develops skills over time, they will increasingly take ownership of select production tasks and may lead certain projects independently.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Project & Technical Director and tech department to meet all audio and technical requirements.
- Assist with the setup, design, and operation of sound for theatrical productions; act as Technical Director during performances as assigned.
- Assist with sound setup, design, and operation for education events and dance recitals; serve in a technical leadership role when assigned.
- Support sound setup, design, and operation for concerts.
- Assist the Technical Director and tech department with technical requirements for concerts, including stage setup, equipment preparation, and troubleshooting.
- Perform load-in and load-out duties for concerts and theatrical productions.
- Maintain software updates on FOH equipment including the dLive S7000 console and Shure QLXD wireless systems.
- Demonstrate understanding of audio, signal flow, and mic’ing techniques for a range of musical and theatrical applications.
- As skills and experience grow, take on select productions or technical projects independently, with ongoing support and mentorship from the Technical leadership team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Training & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sound engineering preferred.
- Proficiency in QLab, Mac OS, and basic software environments required.
- Knowledge of video systems is a plus.
- Experience operating an Ion XE lighting board is a plus.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable team player with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for the performing arts.
Experience:
- Sound Engineering: 5 years (preferred)
- QLab & Mac: 2 years (preferred)
Education: Associates degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience considered.
Schedule: Flexibility Needed

- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Now Hiring: Winter 2025–2026 Conservatory Teaching Artists
The Stadium Theatre Conservatory is seeking passionate and dynamic Teaching Artists to lead youth theatre programs this winter season! These positions offer the opportunity to inspire young performers while helping them build confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills in preparation for fully staged performances.
We are currently hiring for the following Teaching Artist roles:
Intro to Musical Theatre II (Ages 10–12) – Director & Music Director
Intro to Musical Theatre III (Ages 13–16) – Director & Music Director

Director & Music Director – Intro to Musical Theatre II (Ages 10–12)
In this course level, students will continue to develop and hone their performance skills through age appropriate acting techniques as they work together as an ensemble to create well-developed characters in a fully realized world. Both theatre terminology and performance techniques are expanded. This class will culminate in a Finale.
- Schedule: Wednesdays, January 7 – March 11 (no class February 18)
- Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Extended Class: March 4th & 11th ( 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM)
- Tech/Finale: March 15, 11 AM – 4 PM
Positions:
Director – Lead weekly classes, submit lesson plans, and guide students in a short finale performance.
Music Director – Teach group and solo vocal parts, lead warmups, collaborate with Director, and prepare students for the finale.
Qualifications:
Experience in theatre education or directing youth, excellent communication skills, and an engaging, inclusive teaching style.
Director & Music Director – Intro to Musical Theatre III (Ages 13–16)
Musical Theatre III is meant for 13 to 16-year-olds who are looking to take the next step in their theatre training. Musical Theatre III takes a deep dive into the musical theatre cannon where students can experience numbers across the repertoire, drawn from a specific genre. Musical Theatre III will conclude with a technical rehearsal followed by a finale on the Stadium Theatre’s Main Stage on Sunday, March 15th.
