Lenny Clarke & Friends
Joe Rocco and RocJo Productions present Lenny & Friends, The Comedy Event of the Year, with partial proceeds going to the Rhode Island Firefighters Widows and Orphans Fund. Rocco is the same producer who brought the hilarious shows "An Evening with Kevin Meaney" and the "Hitmen of Comedy" to the Stadium Theatre in 2009. Both of these shows ended in a standing ovation!
Lenny Clarke, best known as the outrageous Uncle Teddy in the FX hit series, Rescue Me, makes his standup comedy Rhode Island debut on Saturday evening, September 11th headlining this extraordinary show. The very popular and hilarious Tony V., from Showtime's The Brotherhood, Seinfeld, Conan and the hysterical Ken Rogerson, as seen on Late Night with David Letterman, Conan and in the films, Fever Pitch and Something About Mary, will also be performing in the show.
"To have these three very funny headliners all in one show is very exciting and it will make for a fantastic night of comedy. That we can also raise some money for a wonderful cause in what I hope will be an annual event makes this show even more special," says Rocco.
The night will include a silent auction, live auction and raffle. Among the auction items will be a Rescue Me script autographed by Denis Leary and his fellow cast mates. A minimum of $2,000 will be donated to the Rhode Island Firefighters Widows and Orphans Fund, created to support families who have lost firefighters in the line of duty. "There is potential to raise much more with a good turnout. I have been involved with dozens of local charitable events and Rhode Islanders always rally to the cause. They are so generous," Rocco adds.
